Our Mission

Opportunities for Chenango, Inc. (also known as OFC, Inc.) is a Community Action Agency (CAA) committed to supporting families and individuals to:

We achieve our mission through programs that focus on child and family development, housing security, life skills training, education, literacy, health and nutrition, community, employment and economic development.

Our Vision

The OFC, Inc. Vision is to work and advocate for the elimination of poverty, it's causes and effects, in our Chenango community, New York State, and our Nation.

OFC, Inc. is the principal agency in Chenango County for the coordination, integration, and delivery of quality life skills building and self-sufficiency opportunities for families.

OFC, Inc. is a recognized leader in an innovative, visionary, and effective solution-based approach to family and community development.

NeighborWorks America
NeighborWorks is a national network of more than 220 community development and affordable housing organizations. The Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation, created by Congress in 1978, provides training, grants, and technical support to the NeighborWorks network.

Community Action Partnership
The Community Action Partnership was established in 1971 as the National Association of Community Action Agencies (NACAA) and is the national organization representing the interests of the 1,000 Community Action Agencies (CAAs) working to fight poverty at the local level.
