The Early Childhood Education Committee, an advisory group of Head Start's Policy Council, has set a date for their community event highlighting literacy. With the support of Guernsey Library, SUNY Morrisville, BOCES, Public Health and other community groups, the event will take place on Saturday, April 16th from 10 am to 2 pm at the SUNY Morrisville Norwich Campus. Many activities are planned for the event, including a book giveaway, bookmaking activities, Photo Booth, make-and-takes, guest authors, storytelling, costumed characters and maybe even a little snack. The event is geared to families with children birth to eight, and promises to provide a lot of information on the importance of literacy while providing a lot of fun!
